The Challenge
The client, a leading vehicle manufacturer, wanted to reduce its IT cost base and
strengthen its IT security. ESP International was engaged to help reduce costs and pinpoint the source of the security issues. The company has recently outsourced its IT operations which was making it difficult to identify the source of the problem.
The Approach
ESP International worked closely with the leadership team and the IT team to conduct a 360 degree analysis of all existing hard and soft assets and identified a fair market price for the company’s assets and services. The company’s security policies and procedures were audited, redefined where weaknesses were identified, and assistance with implementation was provided. The future procurement of all IT assets and services was put up for tender and ESP managed this process including advice regarding the selection of new partners.
The Outcome
Following the restructure, the company’s security issues were eliminated and IT cost savings of over 60 percent per annum were reached.
